Honeyball United WFC was founded in 2025 by Jo Hollings, Kat Richardson and Kate White who, after years of championing inclusive football for women of all abilities, saw an opportunity to go one step further, by building a club from the ground up that truly reflects the values they stand for.
Named after Nettie Honeyball, the unapologetic trailblazer who founded the British Ladies’ Football Club in 1894, we carry her legacy forward with ambition, pride and the belief that women belong in football.
Nettie didn’t wait for permission - she simply organised, recruited and led.
Honeyball United WFC was built with that same spirit.
Proud, bold, and determined to open doors for women who want to play football.
Honeyball United WFC isn’t just a football club, it’s an environment built intentionally for women. Inclusive, welcoming and proudly different.
Whether it’s your first kick or your 500th, you’re welcome here.
Football is a brilliant builder of self-belief and we champion that across the club.
Just women supporting women. It's that simple.
Creating space for women to play, freely and without judgement.
For each other, for the game, and for those who paved the way.
The joy of playing is the whole point. Everything else is a bonus.
